On Thursday, my wonderful husband and I will be celebrating twenty years together. That’s not too shocking given that many people manage it. However, after twenty years, we are still, and more so, madly in love with one another. We aren’t staying together for our daughter. We won’t be lost as empty nesters, we are looking forward to it. We aren’t staying together for religious reasons. We are staying together because we still very much enjoy each other in every aspect of our lives. One of the more important factors for me, in writing a novel, is the dialogue between the characters. It must flow in a natural way and my readers should actually feel the different cadence between different people in the story.

First of all, thank you for doing this, it’s a pleasure to be here. I currently work for a major HVAC company (the largest in the world in fact) as their invoicing coordinator; however I have been in the secretarial field now for twenty-eight years. I am originally from the Pacific Northwest (Go Seahwawks!) with a stopover in Utah for twenty-four years where my daughter was born and have lived here in Orlando, FL for the last ten years.
I have always wanted to write, but had put the dream on hold in order to raise my daughter as a single mother. She’s grown now, therefore it’s time for me to chase my dream. Continue reading

Hi Blakely! Thank you so much for having me on your blog today 🙂 I’m a British gal who grew up in Portugal. I starting writing full time in 2011 and have since published eight books. My latest, which will be out in November is a contemporary romance called And Then There Was You. It’s about infidelity, passion, love. Ugly love by Colleen Hoover is by far my favorite book this year. I’ve read other books I really enjoyed like Wonder by R.J.
