How Important is the Past?

8755118738_aafef7e34a_zA close friend of ours lost her husband several months ago and because of having family in town, we were unable to attend the memorial. She put together this amazing tribute that we just watched at her house this past week.

We were friends with her husband too and found out we knew very little about his past. He lived the life of ten men. I have never known any one person to accomplish and achieve so much in such a variety of ways. Continue reading

Blakely’s Friday Interview with Sydney Jamesson

I have great affection for Sydney Jamesson. Please give her a warm welcome. She is the fabulous author of TouchStone for play!

unnamedTell us a bit about yourself and what you’re currently working on or promoting.
At the moment I have a worldwide Blog Tour underway for TouchStone for play with an exclusive bonus chapter. I have been asked time and time again by readers for the story from Ayden Stone’s point of view. Well, this is it. An insight into what makes this sexy-as-hell, media magnate tick and what it is that draws him to the beguiling Miss Parker. For those readers who have already read TouchStone for play, I’m gifting the bonus chapter via my monthly Newsletter, ‘Romancing The Stone.’ They can sign up for it HEREContinue reading

Blakely’s Friday Interview with Yveta Germano

Please give a warm welcome to Yveta Germano, author of Recklessly Yours & Choking Game.

Yveta4Tell us a bit about yourself and what you’re currently working on or promoting.
I was born and raised in the Czech Republic. It’s a beautiful country in the heart of Europe and if you haven’t been there, you need to put it on your bucket list. I’ve been married to my American husband for over twenty years, we have two teenage daughters, and we live in Atlanta, GA. I’m currently promoting two books, the first one was released on October 12 and the second one five days later, on October 17, 2014.

The first book is Recklessly Yours — it’s the first of a new series called Diary of a French Girl. It’s about an 18-year-old French girl, Giselle, who never met her American father until her dad dies and she comes to the US for the first time to meet her wealthy grandmother. As a typical European teen, she has somewhat distorted view of America. So the book is a bit of a journey not just into her family but her love life as well. You see, Giselle loses her virginity in America to a former NAVY Seal who’s hot but a bit wild. It’s a new adult genre that has some erotic chapters, but it is a great story first and foremost. And the Breast Wins

boobageFor those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook, I periodically ask questions of my friends, on my timeline, about all kinds of things. After having a conversation with my daughter about the different words for breasts, I decided to ask my Facebook crew how they weigh in on the terms. Terms ran the gambit from breast, boobs, tits, boobies, mammaries, the girls, to milk jugs, twin peaks, bazookas, knockers, fun bags, sweet tomatoes, and many others. Continue reading

Nanowrimo and Fitness Challenge

November is the month for me to get off my ass, literally and figuratively. Although I’m not entering any of the Nanowrimo contests and I’ve already started my novel, I am using the daily discipline to help me finish Blue Persuasion this month. That’s right, you heard it here first!  Continue reading

Fellatio, On and Off the Page

bubbleI am a huge fan of blowjobs, which is really a silly name for taking a wonderful cock into your mouth for play. There is no blowing and there is no work involved. So who came up with that name? I much prefer suckling delight or fellatio.

I enjoy the practice of it, writing about it, and reading stories that contain the act. However, I have a few friends that don’t care for reading about blowjobs and avoid engaging in them at all costs. In both cases, they had BAD past experiences. Continue reading

Blakely’s Friday Interview with Jen Cousineau

Please give a warm welcome to Jen Cousineau, author of A Deadly BetLicentious.

1stWho or what inspires you?
To My Loves, the inspiration is my daughters. In fact they are playing a major role in the book. Whereas Licentious was inspired by two songs: Monster by Rhianna and Eminem, and Human by Christina Perri. It all just depends, as each book the inspiration has been different. But I will tell you that while I’m writing, music plays a huge inspirational role for me.

Do you have an agent and/or publisher or are you self-published? If self-published, do you use a professional editor? If traditionally published, who is your publisher?
I’m self-published, but I do use a professional editor – Rogena Mitchell-Jones. I absolutely love her! I’m horrible with punctuation and sometimes being too detailed. She’s amazing at reigning me in a bit. Continue reading

Why Women Love Their Alpha Book Boyfriends…

by Frank Carroll http://goo.gl/idRdqV

by Frank Carroll http://goo.gl/idRdqV

If you’re a fan of romance or erotica, you might think women love their “alpha males” because they are perfect. However, I’m here to tell you, that isn’t so. I personally love my strong book-boyfriends flawed with room to grow. I like when there is personal conflict that needs to be resolved.

My favorite romance author, Lisa Kleypas, especially in the Hathaway Series, knows how to craft complex characters with yummy flaws to reconcile.

Some say that romance stories create an unreasonable standard for men to meet. I strongly disagree. I have found my alpha male (19+ years together) who is my utter complement. Continue reading

While I Was Away

Alice Popkorn – http://goo.gl/ex4LVu

What I realized:
While taking time off from social media and writing, it became clear to me that I need to spend more time doing what I truly love to do and spend less hours of the day on social media constantly pushing and promoting. I’m not saying there is no value to promoting; however I do believe that more books and less promotion will generate more sales than fewer novels and more advertising. Continue reading
